Support

The IT team is transitioning to telework as well as contactless support. In an abundance of caution, we are now prepared to provide remote assistance for your support needs.

You may continue to leave us a voicemail and your message will be delivered to our email account. We will check this throughout the business day. For faster service, utilize one of our other methods listed below.

Technology Guidelines for Telework

CRDG-specific Guidelines for Teleworking Please know that we are trying to minimize risk to our UH-owned equipment and to best mitigate potential damage or theft.

Here is a list of Do’s

  • Take your work laptop home
  • Take the associate power adapter for the laptop
  • Take a mini-display port or USB-C adapter to hook up to a display at home
  • Take a headset, webcam, or other accessories that you’ll need for video conferencing

Here is a list of Do Not’s/Need Further Action

  • Take an external display home
  • Take a printer or multi-function printer home
  • Any other technology items that were not listed
  • Contact Barb and IT if you feel that you absolutely need other UH equipment while working from home. You’ll need both of our approval before proceeding

UH ITS has provided a comprehensive list of guidelines to follow while working remotely. Please review and adhere to their recommendations. Contact us with any questions or concerns. Keep in mind our previous Cybersecurity practices. This should also be applied to using personally owned technology devices. Contact us with any questions or concerns.

Software & Software Installations

  • If you’re using a UH-owned computer, you should be all set to work from home
  • When using a personal computer, please use your best judgment. We’ll provide limited support for your home computer at this time. As always, be sure to reach out to IT if you have any questions at all so we can help you to make the best decisions to telework
  • Contact IT for software requirements when using your home computer. We’ll work with you on a case by case basis.
