Hourly rate: $11.95
Campus Location: University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa
Work Schedule: Flexible, M-F, 7:30-5:00. Some weekends and evenings as needed
Minimum/Maximum Hours: 10-20, more hours during breaks and summer
Job Program: UH and Federal Work Study

QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking an individual with high energy, drive, and determination to work in a small office environment. High proficiency with an office productivity suite (e.g. Microsoft Office/Office 365, G Suite/Google Docs). Good telephone and customer service skills. Ability to follow directions (written and verbal). Able to use web browsers and online applications. Knowledge of databases. Able to type at least 40 wpm. Able to complete tasks with some supervision. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn. Should be someone who is organized and can help to keep an organized office environment. Must be reliable, prompt, and able to follow instructions. Able to work independently as well as with a team. Willing to learning new skills. Able to carry 50 lb. boxes, if needed. Available to work at least three days/week. Working knowledge of Macintosh and/or Windows systems.

DUTIES
Assist with a range of individual and team oriented tasks by being part of the front line of a dynamic technology office. Assist in preparing forms, scanning documents, organizing digital and printed records, and updating information in databases. Assist with purchasing and some bookkeeping of financial data. Run errands on UH-Manoa campus, operate standard office equipment, word process, review documents for accuracy and completeness, and perform other general clerical and office duties. Answer the phone and direct/escalate calls to the appropriate person. Use office productivity software, online web applications, and other software as needed. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Able to work with staff and other student assistants. Familiar with Macintosh OS X and/or Windows XP/Vista/7/10 systems. Experience with Microsoft Office, FileMaker Pro or other database software, and Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Knowledge of Web content creation software such as, Adobe Dreamweaver and Flash or similar software. Understanding of basic wired and wireless LAN networks and telecommunication. Knowledge of programming languages/development platform (e.g.: C/C++, Java, java_script, PHP, PERL, Ruby on Rails, Python, etc.) Knowledge of Apple�s iLife suite (iMovie, iDVD, iPhoto, Garageband) or other similar software. Knowledge of advanced creative media software such as Final Cut Studio, Aperture, Lightroom, Premier, AVID, or other creative software. Able to take initiative. Willingness to help others and to learn new things. Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Type minimum of 75 wpm. Must be able to lift 40lbs.

DUTIES
Help desk duties include troubleshooting (hardware and software) & maintenance, software & hardware installation, web creation/editing, desktop publishing, word processing, data entry. Other help desk duties include: answering phones, assisting client computers over the phone (remotely) and/or in person, processing electronic reservations, and other office duties. Assist in researching technical support issues and/or escalating them when appropriate. Assisting with audio/visual productions, setups and other events. Other general duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with staff and other student assistants. Strong background with Macintosh OS X and/or Windows XP/Vista/7 systems. Experience with office productivity suites such as Microsoft Office, OpenOffice, LibreOffice, or Apple iWork. Familiar with using creative software such as Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, AVID, and/or other video software. Working knowledge of video production equipment such as camcorders, lighting, and field or studio production.Knowledge of programming languages/development platform (e.g.: C/C++, Java, java_script, PHP, PERL, Ruby on Rails, Python, etc.  Familiar with print and digital publishing software such as Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Experience using database programs such as Microsoft Access, FileMaker Pro, or SQL. Understanding of basic networking and telecommunications systems. Able to take initiative. Willingness to help others. Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

DUTIES
Assist in help desk operations including answering phones and assisting clients over the phone and/or in person. Assist in researching technical support issues and/or escalating them when appropriate. Assist with multimedia projects such as video, audio and graphic design, including setting up A/V for events. Perform hardware and software troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation. Perform clerical functions including procurement forms, manipulating spreadsheets, and data entry. Research and recommend solutions for technical and non-technical issues. Contact vendors for information, support and pricing. Other duties as assigned.
